President's Message
Welcome!
On behalf of the phenomenal Phi Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website!
Since its chartering on June 6, 1999, our chapter has proudly served Scotch Plains and Greater Union County, New Jersey, in keeping with our Sorority’s purpose of providing ‘Service to All Mankind.’
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ® is the first African American sorority founded on January 15,1908 on the campus of Howard University. The members of Phi Eta Omega chapter strive to meet our society's needs by fulfilling our Sorority’s commitment to sisterhood, scholarship and service.
In keeping with our current international program theme, Soaring to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service, Phi Eta Omega initiates community service programs and activities focused on Strengthening our Sisterhood and these five additional program initiatives:
- Empower Our Families
- Build Our Economic Wealth
- Enhance Our Environment
- Advocate for Social Justice
- Uplift Our Local Community
One of the many ways we fulfill our mission is by working with community partners who share our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others. I invite you to explore our website and follow us on social media to learn more about our community service activities, scholarship program (offered in coordination with the Ivy Dream Foundation), and other opportunities to partner with us. Or, feel free to reach out to me directly to explore how we might work together to serve the needs of our community.
If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, I invite you to contact me or another member of our chapter about visiting with us during an upcoming meeting or event.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Yours in service,
Elizabeth E. Nolley
